Guru Vaani

The term Guru Vaani generally means the words or teachings of a Guru. In Sanskrit, Guru refers to a spiritual teacher or guide. The syllable ‘Gu’ means darkness, and ‘Ru’ means the one who removes that darkness. ‘Vani’ means speech, voice, or Saraswati—the Goddess of Knowledge.

Accordingly, Guru Vani refers to the sacred words, teachings, or discourses of the Guru who dispels the darkness of ignorance and guides one on the spiritual path.
