Blanket Distribution at Kashi Kshetram
Pujya Guru Dampathi visited the sacred Kashi Kshetram in September for our Mahalaya Amavasya event held there. There, they have taken a holy dip in the river Ganga, had Darshan of Lord Vishwanatha, Mata Annapurna, and Mata Visalakshi. They performed all the religious ceremonies prescribed for the ancestors on the banks of river Ganga along with other KCDT members to fulfill one’s duties towards their pitru devathas. They also performed rudrabhishekam to lord Shiva consecrated in the premises of Mumukshu Bhavan.
As a part of the religious activities, Pujya Guru Dampathi, on behalf of KC Das Trust, distributed blankets and other necessary items to the sadhus and other people in need.
Many sadhus and renunciates leave their homes, cut off their worldly ties and reach Kashi to practice complete Sharanagathi to Lord Vishwanatha. Such astikas, go through a lot of trouble to get the bare minimum facilities like food, clothing, shelter, etc, especially during the upcoming winter months. Hence, KC Das Trust, following the age old adage of “Manava seva ae madhava seva”, continues to provide service to such divine souls whenever an opportunity presents itself.
